Koop Creek Reserve Shiraz
Koop Creek Reserve Shiraz is a small volume wine made from the fruit of a special parcel of vine grown adjacent Koop Creek Road, Springton.
The fruit was hand picked, destemmed, crushed and fermented in open fermenters. It was then Basket pressed and aged in a selection of French and American Oak barrels for 2 1⁄2 years.
The result is an intense wine showing classic Eden Valley Shiraz characteristics of deep purple colour and flavours of black pepper with a hint of Eucalyptus and blackberry.
This full bodied wine drinks well now and will continue to improve with age. Food pairings: Aged steak, pasta with truffles and papillion roquefort.
